One family’s outgrown Halloween costume could become another child’s favorite Halloween memory.
Halloween is right around the corner, and Project SALT is inviting the Wickenburg community to help make sure local children have a chance to enjoy the fun, imagination, and excitement of the season.
For many families, the cost of costumes, accessories, and holiday activities can add up quickly. When household budgets are already stretched thin, Halloween costumes may simply be an expense they can’t afford.
But a little community kindness can change that.
Give an Old Costume a New Adventure!
Have a superhero cape, princess dress, dinosaur costume, or spooky Halloween outfit tucked away in a closet?
Project SALT is collecting gently used Halloween costumes and accessories to help Wickenburg-area families celebrate Halloween without the added expense.
Instead of letting last year’s costume collect dust, why not give it a chance to make another child smile?
Here’s how you can help:
- Donate costumes: Clean, gently used Halloween costumes of all sizes are welcome.
- Share accessories: Masks, hats, capes, wigs, and other costume pieces can help complete the perfect Halloween look.
- Spread the word: Let friends, neighbors, and family members know about the costume collection.
- Help make connections: Know a family with costumes to share or children who could use them? Encourage them to connect with Project SALT.
Looking for a Halloween Costume?
Project SALT also welcomes families looking for costumes for their children.
Stop by and see what’s available! Selection will depend on community donations, but the goal is simple: help more children experience the excitement of dressing up for Halloween.
No judgment. No embarrassment. Just neighbors helping neighbors.
More Than a Food Pantry
Project SALT stands for Serving And Loving Together, and this Halloween effort is a wonderful example of that mission in action.
Throughout the year, Project SALT provides food, clothing, hydration, hygiene products, household essentials, and other practical assistance to Wickenburg-area neighbors.
But supporting families is about more than meeting basic needs.
It’s also about helping children feel included, creating opportunities for joy, and reminding families that their community cares.
A Halloween costume may seem like a small thing, but to a child excited about trick-or-treating, it can mean the world.

Let’s Make Halloween a Little Brighter!
Wickenburg has always been a community where neighbors step up for one another.
This Halloween, something as simple as passing along an outgrown costume can bring joy to another family, reduce waste, and help a child create a wonderful memory.
Clean out those costume bins, tell your friends, and help Project SALT spread a little Halloween magic!
Because kindness never goes out of style, and every child deserves a little Halloween fun.
